Brittney was born and raised in Holland, MI. However, there are two more places that she holds near to her heart—Arequipa, Peru and Chicago—having lived in each. Brittney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Spanish from Calvin University, and she graduated with her Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University (MSW). She is fully licensed social worker in the State of Michigan (LMSW).

Brittney believes that everyone is worthy of love and belonging, and she has a passion for empowering youth to reach their full potential. Brittney also believes that every person is unique and should not be defined by their diagnoses or challenges. When clients invite her into their stories, she feels honored and humbled. Using various therapy approaches, Brittney works in collaboration with her clients to achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Brittney is someone who loves to explore new places and experiences, whether that’s a new coffee shop, hiking trail or sunset. She enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family. Yet, she also loves nights in with a cozy blanket, warm drink and a movie. While a self-proclaimed extrovert, Brittney tries to maintain balance between engaging with others, as that fills her spirit, but also finding moments to relax and recharge.
